HOCATT™ Ozone Sauna

This form of Ozone Therapy is used by Ozone Wellness and is favoured as one of the least invasive and most enjoyable forms of Ozone Therapy. HOCATT™ is a powerful therapeutic tool which combines the beneficial oxygenation and detoxification effects of both ozone, CO2 and steam sauna, thereby restoring the body’s natural balance to heal itself.

You sit comfortably in an Ozone resistant steam cabinet with your head protruding out the top of the cabinet. In this way, your face remains cool and you avoid inhaling the ozone gas which can irritate the lung lining. Adjustable volumes of steam, CO2 and an ozone/oxygen mixture is circulated inside the sealed off unit. The pores open and capillaries dilate due to the moist heat & CO2 gas. Ozone dissolves in the superficial water film on the skin and reacts with lipids in the skin to generate Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) and an array of Lipid Oxidation Products (LOP) which enter through the dermis, derma and capillary wall penetrating the lymphatic fluid, blood and fat cells.

Toxins in the lymph, fat & blood are oxidized and the body is cleansed of viruses, bacteria, yeasts, fungi & parasites

During the treatment your body will process the oxidized toxins and expel them through the skin, sparing the liver and kidneys.

A treatment may be anything between 15 – 30 minutes depending on the clients’ health and he/she can expect to emerge from the treatment feeling extremely relaxed, refreshed and energised.

For general detoxification a schedule of 10 treatments is advised, however please enquire about other protocols when dealing with chronic illnesses and other health conditions.

What is Ozone?

Ozone is a very energetic form of pure oxygen produced in nature and
occurs naturally in the stratosphere where oxygen (O2) is converted to
ozone (O3) by the ultraviolet rays of the sun.

For therapeutic purposes, ozone is generated by exposing medical grade oxygen to an electric charge,
using a calibrated medical ozone generator.

The importance of Oxygen

Healthy cells in the body need and love oxygen.

The body can survive weeks without food, days without water, but only minutes without oxygen.

Most undesirable micro-organisms are anaerobic, which means that they thrive in the absence of oxygen; in fact, they are destroyed by the presence of oxygen.

The body becomes deprived of adequate levels of oxygen through:

  • Stress
  • Smoking
  • Poor posture and breathing
  • Parasitic infection
  • Exposure to Environmental toxins
  • Drinking deoxygenated water
  • Lack of exercise
  • Dietary & Lifestyle factors which affect the Ph balance of the blood and intracellular fluids making these acidic (refined foods, sugar, alcohol, improper food combining, deep fried and processed foods)

How does Ozone Work?

Stimulates your immune cells (white blood cells) into action to fight viruses, bacteria and cancer, and to give you protection from future infections. It also increases the number of these cells in your body.
Oxidizes arterial plaque and breaks down the plaque involved in both Arteriosclerosis and Atherosclerosis. It is a powerful stimulator of Nitric Oxide in your blood vessels, and it is nitric oxide which is the key to dilating your hardened blood vessels allowing more blood to flow to all your organs and cells – this is why people with severe heart problems can be often returned to normal health and vitality with ozone.
Destroys Viruses, Bacteria, Fungi (Candida) as they cannot resist the oxidizing power of ozone. They are destroyed on contact through a process known as cell lysis. Your normal cells are not harmed due to their antioxidant defence systems, which protect them from the powerful oxidizing effects of ozone – viruses, bacteria etc do not have such defences and are thus vulnerable to ozone.
Stimulates production of antioxidant enzymes directly thereby reducing oxidative stress inside your cells. This is very important for Anti Aging as it keeps your cells strong and able to resist toxic damage.
Increases oxygen and haemoglobin disassociation, thus increasing the delivery of oxygen from the blood to the cells, tissues and organs.
Ozone is anti-neoplastic, which means that it inhibits the growth of new tissues like tumors. Cancers are anaerobic meaning that they don’t like oxygen. Ozone floods the blood and all body cells with life giving oxygen and starts to return to normal the previous abnormal function of cancer cells.
Oxidizes and degrades petrochemicals, therefore it acts to powerfully detox your entire body allowing you to feel energized with increased vitality. These chemicals have the potential to place a great burden on the immune system that is detrimental to your long-term health. They have been found to worsen and even cause allergies.
Increases red blood cell membrane distensibility, thus enhancing their flexibility and effectiveness which allows oxygen levels to stay elevated for days, or even weeks after treatment with ozone
Increases the production of interferon and Tumor Necrosis Factor, which the body uses to fight infections and cancers.
Increases the efficiency of the anti-oxidant enzyme system, which scavenges excess free radicals in the body.
Accelerates the Citric Acid Cycle, which is the main cycle for the liberation of energy from sugars. This then stimulates basic metabolism. It also breaks down proteins, carbohydrates and fats to be used as energy.
Increases tissue oxygenation, thus eliminating degenerative diseases and bringing health and vitality to the body. It improves the function of every cell and every organ in the body.
